Bio

Coach Alberty enters his sixth year as the head men's soccer coach at Fontbonne. He's well familiar with Fontbonne as he was originally slated to be an Assistant Coach on the women’s soccer team this year.

In his first season at the helm, Alberty guided the Griffins to a SLIAC Regular Season Championship, its first since the 2013 season. After leading them to 13 wins overall, Alberty was named the SLIAC Coach of the Year. 

Prior to joining Fontbonne, Alberty was previously at St. Charles Community College, where he was the Head Coach for two seasons on the men’s team and they went on to finish a combined 15-21-1.

There, he helped develop one All-Region First Team player, four Second Team All-Region selectees, three First Team All-Conference honorees and four others that were named to the All-Conference Second Team.

Before joining St. Charles Community College, Alberty was an Assistant Coach at Missouri Baptist University (2012-15). He was the lead Assistant Coach at MBU along with developing and running training sessions. He also spent 2002-11 at Logos High School as the Head Soccer Coach.

Coach Alberty has also coached in numerous clubs in the St. Louis area including St. Louis Select, Club Athletic Premier, Elite F. C. and Metro Strikers and holds a USSF License with plans to earn higher certifications and badges.

Coach Alberty earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Missouri Baptist University in 1997 and has taken several classes towards a Master of Arts in counseling degree. He lives in St. Peters with his wife Tammy and children, Bryce and Abby.
