Bio

Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Boll Meyer is a 1943 graduate of Fontbonne University
with a major in physical education and a minor in dramatics. Betty was a varsity
basketball player from 1940 until 1943, and participated in varsity field hockey
during those same four years. She was crowned Penny Circus queen, an activity
sponsored by the Fontbonne Athletic Association.

Besides lettering in two different sports for four years, she was involved in many
campus activities. She received the Alumni Hood Award at Commencement for
"loyalty, leadership and service." She served as class vice-president in 1941 and
president in 1942. She was the Student Association vice-president in 1943 and
the Sodality vice-prefect in 1942. Her classmates termed her "an all-around
Fontbonne girl" as she also appeared in the plays performed on campus.

After graduation, Betty taught physical education. In 1950, she married her
husband, William. After beginning their family in St. Louis, the Meyers moved to
California.
