Eight Griffins earn postseason accolades for baseball
St. Louis, Mo. - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2017 Baseball All-Conference teams tonight between games three and four of the conference tournament. Fontbonne landed eight Griffins across the three teams despite not making it to postseason play.

Conference statistical rankings - top five:
1st: Greenway - 28 RBI; Boyer - 16 stolen bases
2nd: Golich - 28 runs scored; Greenway - 38 hits; Boyer 28 runs scored, 9 doubles; Schocker - 27 RBI, 9 doubles;
3rd: Golich 37 hits; Mueth - .518 on-base percentage
4th: Greenway 5 home runs, .709 slugging percentage; Golich 12 stolen bases; Schocker - 167 putouts
5th: Greenway 8 doubles, .442 average, .510 on-base percentage; Boyer 23 RBI
On the season, Boyer and Golich each recorded 60 hits to lead the league. Boyer also led all conference players with 23 stolen bases and 44 runs scored. Golich was right on his heels with 43 runs. Schocker's 57 hits followed by Greenway's 56 hits rounded out the top five in the SLIAC as Greenville's Travis Ralls, the Player of the Year tied with Boyer and Golich.
Greenway's 13 doubles was second-best in the conference overall. Boyer's seven home runs tied for seventh while Borrowman and Greenway's five tied for 12th. Greenway and Schocker's 41 RBI tied for second in the league with 42 RBI taking the top statistic for Spalding. Greenway's 28 walks is a carer-high as he led the SLIAC while Mueth's 22 walks tied for third. Hoevelmann tied for third with his 21 stolen bases. Boyer and Greenway's batting averages came in sixth and seventh respectively.
