Millsaps (4-2), meanwhile, got three of its 13 hits off the bat of Jimmy Johnstone, who went 3-for-4 overall with a run scored. Jackson Hailey and Brennan Ducote each had a hit and totaled a team-high two RBI apiece.
It was a pitchers dual early up until the home half of the fifth when the Majors finally broke through. Chase Callaway got things started with a triple to center. After a walk, Jackson Hailey hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Callaway to make it 1-0.
Later in the inning, Wes Lassere, who walked earlier in the inning, scored on a Griffins error to push the advantage out to 2-0. Ducote followed with a two RBI double to right field and that extended the lead to 4-0.
From there, the Majors plated one in the sixth, one in the seventh and four more in the eighth to go on for the 10-run victory.
The Griffins look to bounce back in front of the home crowd this weekend. The team will play Chicago on Friday at 3 p.m., followed by a 2 p.m., contest against Dominican on Sunday.
