Summers Named To D3baseball.com All-American First Team
ST. LOUIS, Mo.—After earning All-Region honors last week, D3baseball.com released its All-American Teams today and Luke Summers was named to the First Team.
Summers, a St. Louis, Mo., native, is the first Griffins player to be named to the First Team in program history. He's the second player in program history to earn All-American honors as Adam Friedrich (2001) was the first when he was named to the Second Team.
On the bump, Summers had a career season where he went 11-2 in 94.0 innings pitched, allowing seven earned runs, striking out 127, and having a 0.67 ERA. Nationally, Summers still ranks first in ERA and second in strikeouts.
