How It Happened
Aurora grabbed a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first on an RBI sacrifice-fly from Dylan White which scored Josh Reinhardt, who led off with a single.
From there, the Spartans tacked on two more in the second and seven in the third to lead 10-0 going into the fourth.
In the top half of the fourth, Tyler Chambliss and Braeden Dobbs got things started with consecutive singles. Thomas Purschke followed with a triple to left, clearing the bases, and trimmed the deficit down to 10-2.
Ty Kueper didn't keep Purschke waiting long at third as he brought him home with an RBI single to left. They added another run in the inning on Brandon Hinson reaching base on a fielder's choice to make it a 10-4 contest.
However, in the bottom half, the Spartans scored five runs on three hits to extend its lead back out to 15-4. Aurora added two more in the sixth and Fontbonne answered with two in the seventh but the mercy-rule was enforced as Fontbonne fell by 11.

- Braeden Dobbs extended his hitting streak out to nine going 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI.
- Thomas Purschke posted a team-high two RBI.
- Carter Lee, Ty Kueper, and Hinson added the other RBI.
- Alex Phillips was dealt the tough loss allowing 10 runs (one earned) in 2.1 innings pitched.
Aurora Notables
- The 8-9 hitters in Eric Johansen and Austin Wiskow combined to go 5-for-8 with five runs scored and four RBI.
- Dylan White 1-for-2 with two runs scored and three RBI in the No. 4 slot.
- Starter Skyler Yamamoto improved to 2-0 going 6.0 innings, allowing four runs, and striking out four.
