How It Happened
Braeden Dobbs got the scoring started in the top of the second with a solo homer. Later in the inning, Lane Smith collected an RBI single that brought home Luke Meixner to extend the advantage out to 2-0.
In the bottom of the fourth, Luke Meixner led off with a single and he came around scoring on Tyler Chambliss' RBI single.
It remained a 3-0 contest up until the top of the seventh when the Vikings plated four runs on three hits, highlighted by Mitchell Owens' two RBI double to left. Augustana added another run in the ninth securing the two-run victory.
Fontbonne Top Performers
- Chambliss and Smith combined to go 4-for-6 with two RBI.
- Dobbs finished 1-for-4 with a homerun.
- Meixner scored twice.
- Luke Summers got the start going 6.0 innings, allowing no runs and sitting down seven.

The team returns to action tomorrow afternoon when they'll host Nebraska Wesleyan for a doubleheader. First-pitch at 12 p.m.
