Hillsboro's Tyler Schwartz headed to play Fontbonne basketball
St. Louis, Mo. - Head men's basketball coach Lance Thornhill has announced that Tyler Schwartz will be joining the Griffin family next year.
Schwartz was a four-year starter for his Hillsboro, Mo. High School squad who averaged 15.6 points per game and 3.4 assists per game in his final season. Schwartz shot an astounding 47% from long range while the Hawks finished with an 18-8 record his senior season.
For his career, Schwartz broke the all-time school three-point record, totaling 145 three-pointers shooting 42% behind the arc. He also recorded a career average of 51.4% in the field. At Hillsboro, Schwartz averaged 10.4 points per game and 3.2 assists per game.
Schwartz was a two-time all-conference performer who garnered first team All-Conference accolades his senior season and second team All-District honors as well.
