Fulton, Mo. - Fontbonne men's basketball trailed 48-43 with over 15 minutes left in the second half when Westminster scored nine straight points including back-to-back dunks and a trey. Fontbonne wouldn't get any closer as the Blue Jays outshot the Griffins 57-38 and went on to win 94-69.
After, senior Trey Watkins exited the game in the first half due to injury, three Griffins finished the game with double digits. Leading the charge for Fontbonne were freshman Tyler Schwartz, senior Orkan Bakis and junior Jack Lake. Each scored 11 points while senior Dallas Haywood recorded five assists and three steals.
Fontbonne finally gets to host a game this year when MacMurray College comes to town this Saturday, December 3rd. The Griffins' home-opener is scheduled for a 3 p.m. tipoff.
