Strong Second Half Gives Men’s Basketball Win Over Westminster
FULTON, Mo. - The Fontbonne University men's basketball team defeated Westminster College (Mo.) this evening, 94-81. The Griffins improve to 9-3 on the season and 4-1 in conference play.
Five Griffins scored double digits once again on the season.
By the Numbers
23 - Adam Painter led the floor with 23 points, going 9-for-11 from the field and 5-for-8 from the free-throw line.
17 - Ethan Chartrand scored 17 points (5-13 FG, 7-10 FT).
14 - Jordan Lewis added 14 points to the game tonight. He dished in four assists.
13 - Jaylen Swinney had 13 points.
12 - Brent Wagner scored 12 points.
9 - Adam Painter pulled down nine boards with five coming from the offensive end. He was one rebound shy from a double-double. He also had three steals.
8 - Ethan Chartrand and Cheikh Thiam pulled down eight boards.
Fontbonne shot 64 percent from the free-throw line (25-39), 43 percent from the field (33-76), and 20 percent from the three-point line (3-15).
