Easton fights hard for first; finishes in second after playoff round

St. Louis- Sophomore Brian Easton hit the 72 par on day one of the Millikin University Weist Foundation Classic. Easton fired a 75 on day two for a 147 finish, tying first place out of 71 golfers.
Two Lindenwood players also tied for first, sending the three golfers to a playoff round. Easton would ultimately finish in second place.
The Griffins finished seventh out of twelve teams. Zane Betz closed in, shooting 156 after scoring a 74 on day one. Kory Carter, Dave Withers and Zach Goers shot 161, 162 and 164 respectively, rounding out the team's efforts.
Adam Rhoads walked the course as an independent player, totaling 163 after his two-day efforts.
