Men's Golf kicks off spring season
Cape Girardeau, Mo. - Fontbonne men's golf is out to a slow spring start as the Griffins finished 14th at the Lindenwood-Belleville Challenge at Dalhousie Country Club in Cape Girardeau.
Zane Betz led the Griffins shooting 163 on par 144, tieing for 64th place. A rough 84 day one was wrapped up with a solid 79 on day two. Zach Goers also totaled 163 in the two-day event shooting 80 and 83 respectively. Kory Carter's 166 guided him with a 70th place finish with Brian Easton on his heels scoring a 167.Adam Rhoads competed on his own and totaled a 170 in the contest.
The Griffins take on Webster in a two-day event this weekend. Sunday's round will take place at in Aberdeen Golf Course in Eureka, Mo., the same site as the SLIAC Tournament later this year while Monday's golf outing will be at Sunset Country Club
