Griffins finish second at John McNaughton Memorial Invite

Jacksonville, Ill. - Fontbonne men's golf came away with a second place finish yesterday at the John McNaughton Memorial Invitational hosted by Illinois College. The team placed on the par 72 course at Jacksonville Country Club.

Fontbonne's team shot 24 over par for a total of 312 on the day.

Kory Carter shot just three over par on the day, tieing him in second place. Zane Betz finished two strokes behind Carter while Michael Kanaan was two strokes behind Betz. Bryan Easton and Zach Goers rounded out the Fontbonne five-team score one stroke apart. Easton shot +10 and Goers +11.

Skyler Savoy and Zach Tullock participated in the event as individuals. Savoy scored an 83 and Tullock an 85.

The Griffins are in Decatur, Ill. Friday for a Millikin University men's golf tournament.
