Men's Golf Closes Out In 13th At The Dan Quayle Collegiate Invite
CLAYTON, Ind.—The Fontbonne University men’s golf team closed out the Dan Quayle Collegiate Invite in 13th place with a 65-over par 633 (317-316).
CLAYTON, Ind.—The Fontbonne University men's golf team closed out the Dan Quayle Collegiate Invite in 13th place with a 65-over par 633 (317-316).
Kenyon College took home the team title with an impressive 19-over par 587 (296-291). Host DePauw University and Franklin College tied for second at 28-over par, while Thomas More College finished in fourth at 30-over par 598 (309-289).
Individually, Mikel Merker (Mt. St. Joseph) was able to hang on for the win with his 1-under par 141 (80-71). Fontbonne, meanwhile, was led by Sam Kaminski's 12-over par 154 (74-80) which placed him in a tie for 39th.
Matt Rapasardo was a big mover as he jumped up 10 spots on the leaderboard to finish in 53rd with a 16-over par 158 (81—77). Maxwell Conner, who played as an individual, also climbed up the board with a 5-over par 76 in round two to finish at 18-over par 160 (84-76) for 62nd .
Satchel Conroy finished right behind him at 19-over par 161 (79-82), while Will Pruden hit his way to a 21-over par 163 (84-79). Paul Henderson totaled a 21-over par 163 (83-80) over the two day stretch, while Paul Weiskopf and Kody Flamm, both playing as individuals, shot a 32-over and 38-over par respectively.

The team will return to the course next Friday at the Red Trail Run in Decatur, Illinois, hosted by Millikin.
