Men's Golf Stands In Fifth After Two Rounds At The SLIAC Championships

Webster, who's the current reigning champion, owns the top spot with a 13-stroke lead after hitting a 32-over par 608 (302-306). Iowa Wesleyan stands in third at 45-over par 621 (308-313), while Blackburn College holds down the fourth spot at 51-over par 627 (316-311).
Individually, Will Hocker (Webster) owns a one-stroke lead after 36 holes of golf as he scored a 3-over par 147 (74-73).
Fontbonne, meanwhile is being led by Matt Rapisardo's 12-over par 156 (74-82) performance which currently has him in a tie for sixth.
In the first round, Rapisardo had a rather clean round with two birdies and just four bogeys. In round two, he compiled one birdie, six bogeys, a double-bogey and a triple-bogey on the par five 16th.
Right behind him is Will Pruden after he scored a 13-over par 157 (80-77). Pruden, a Wildwood, Missouri, native finished eight-over par in round one but made his adjustments in round two. The junior scored three birdies, including two on the front nine to end at 13-over overall.
Sam Kaminski was the next Griffin on the leaderboard in 18th place as he turned in his scorecard with a 21-over par 165 (84-81). In round one, Kaminski had just two bogeys on the front nine, though hit two double-bogeys and six bogeys on the final nine.
In the second, Kaminski had another strong first round with a birdie on the par four first hole and limited himself to just five bogeys and a triple-bogey the rest of the way.
After an impressive outing at Take Back the Night Challenge, Paul Henderson ended his day with a 23-over par 167 (83-84) to finish in a tie for 22nd. On the first 18 holes, he totaled nine bogeys and a double-bogey to make the turn at 11-over.
He started off the second round with a birdie on the first hole and closed out the front nine with another birdie to conclude at 6-over and 17-over par overall. On the final nine holes, he hit four bogeys and a double-bogey to round out the afternoon at 23-over.
Zach Tullock, meanwhile, hit his way to a 33-over par 177 (85-92) for 29th place. After scoring a six-over par on the front nine, Tullock went on to par five straight holes on 11-15, before hitting a triple-bogey on the par five 18th. In round two, Tullock totaled eight bogeys en route to a 29th place finish.
The Griffins look to climb up the leaderboard tomorrow morning in the final round. Tee-time set for 10 a.m.
