Pruden And Henderson Highlight Griffins Final Round At The Midwest Classic
The Fontbonne University men’s golf team improved its first-round score by 10-strokes, allowing them to move up two spots and finish in 19th with a 74-over par 650 (330-320) at the Midwest Classic.
GALENA, Ill.— The Fontbonne University men's golf team improved its first-round score by 10-strokes, allowing them to move up two spots and finish in 19th with a 74-over par 650 (330-320) at the Midwest Classic.
Carthage College won overall at 24-over par 600 (300-300). Wisconsin-Superior (298-311) and Wheaton College (301-308) each tied for second at 33-over par 609.
Individually, Jordan Knutson (Carthage), got the win after scoring a 3-under par 141 (70-71). Will Pruden, meanwhile, was one of the big movers on the day. The Wildwood, Mo., native, posted one birdie, four bogeys and a double-bogey, finishing in 36th place at 14-over par 158 (81-77).
Paul Henderson, who jumped 58 spots on the leaderboard, totaled two birdies and five bogeys to close out his day as well at 14-over par 158 (83-75).
Playing as an individual, Carson King moved 27 spots up to finish in 82nd at 20-over par 164 (85-79). Matt Rapisardo ended his afternoon at 21-over par 165 (80-85), while Sam Kaminski hit his way to a 27-over par 171 (86-85). Satchel Conroy improved his score from yesterday by 10-strokes to conclude at 32-over par 176 (93-83).
