Men's Golf Ends Its Fall Season With A Second Place Finish At Oakland City
MONTGOMERY, Ind.—The Fontbonne University men’s golf team finished out the Oakland City Invite in second place with a 36-over par 612 (308-304).
MONTGOMERY, Ind.—The Fontbonne University men's golf team finished out the Oakland City Invite in second place with a 36-over par 612 (308-304).
Indiana University-Kokomo won overall with an 18-over par 594 (288-306). Individually, Sam Seagrave and Taylor Fletcher, both from Indiana University-Kokomo, tied for first at even-par 144.
Will Pruden, meanwhile, scored a 2-under par 70 today, allowing him to finish at 2-over par 146 (76-60) for third place. The Wildwood, Mo., native, scored an eagle on the first hole on the day. He went on to total three bogeys and three birdies.
Paul Henderson turned in one of his better performances on the fall season with an 8-over par 152 (77-75) for fourth. He also compiled three birdies and six bogeys.
Paul Weiskopf closed out his afternoon with an 11-over par 155 (75-80) for seventh-place, which is a season-best score and placing. Weiskopf joined Pruden with an eagle of his own on the par-four 13th.
Carson King scored a season-best 16-over par 160 (80-80) to conclude in 15th place, while Satchel Conroy (85-79) and Mike Maloney (82-82), who played as an individual, tied for 18th at 20-over par 164. The 20-over par round for the duo is a personal-best for each. Aidan Gansner, who also scored as an individual, turned in his scorecard at 194.
