Men's Golf Tied For 12th After 36 Holes At The Rhodes Spring Classic

MEMPHIS, Tenn.— Day one is in the books at the Rhodes College Spring Classic and the Fontbonne University men's golf team turned in its scorecard with a 41-over par 617 (305-312) for a 12^th place tie.

Berry College stands in first place with a 7-under par 569 (286-283). LeTourneau University hit a 4-under par 572 (293-279) for second, while Maryville College (Tenn.) and Dallas are both tied at 3-under par.

Individually, Wil Manuel (Maryville College) sits atop the leaderboard with an 8-under par 136 (68-68). Paul Henderson, meanwhile, leads Fontbonne with a 9-over par 153 (73-80) for a 52^nd place tie.

In round one, Henderson compiled three birdies and four bogeys to finish at 1-over. However, in round two, Henderson finished with one birdie, six bogeys and one double-bogey.

Cory Harrison also tied for 52^nd at 9-over par. After totaling six bogeys in the first round, Harrison bounced back in the second with two birdies and four bogeys.

Will Pruden scored an 11-over par 155 (77-78) for a 64^th place tie. Pruden drained four birdies in the first round, five bogeys, and two double-bogeys to head towards the second round at 5-over. In the final 18, Pruden went on to hit three more birdies, four bogeys, and a triple-bogey for an 11-over par finish.

Sam Kaminski hit his way to a 12-over par 156 (77-79) for 70^th place. The Ballwin, Mo., native, totaled four birdies on the day, including finishing out of the back-nine of round two at even-par. Carson King closed out his afternoon with a 25-over par 169 (85-84).
