Men's Golf Finishes In Second At SLIAC Championship, Three Named To Second Team

PEORIA, Ill.—The Fontbonne University men's golf team closed out the SLIAC Championship in second place with a 98-over par 962 (313-319-330).

How It Happened

Webster University won the SLIAC Tournament for the third straight year after scoring a 25-over par 889 (287-301-301). Westminster shot a 999 for third and Blackburn College totaled a 1008 for fourth.

Individually, Zac Ciesla (Webster) won the event overall after scoring a 1-under par 215 (73-71-71). Sam Kaminski, who earned SLIAC Second Team honors, ended up in sixth place after totaling a 21-over par 237 (75-81-81).

Carson King, who played as an individual, was also named to the Second Team after his seventh-place finish where he shot a 22-over par 238 (80-80-78). Matt Rapisardo was the final Griffin to collect Second Team honors after he turned in his scorecard with a 24-over par 240 (80-76-84).

Cory Harrsion concluded the event in 11^th place at 26-over par 242 (79-78-85), while Paul Henderson totaled three birdies on the day to finish out at 27-over par 243 (79-84-80) for 12^th. Will Pruden collected a 22^nd place finish after he shot a 40-over par 256 (84-86-86).
