Men's Golf Finishes In Third, "B" Team Earns Fifth Place At SLIAC Preview
MADISON, Ill.—The Fontbonne University men’s golf team hosted the SLIAC Preview today and the Griffins finished in third at 36-over par 320, while the “B” team shot a 54-over par 338 for fifth.

How It Happened
Knox College won the event overall with a 22-over par 306. Illinois College finished just ahead of the Griffins at 31-over par 315.
Individually, Patrick Mattar (Knox), took home the honor with a 2-over par 73. Paul Henderson, meanwhile, led Fontbonne at 5-over par 76 for a fourth place tie. The Arnold, Mo., native, went 2-over par on the front nine, while totaling two birdies on the back nine to end at 3-over.
Cole Prager and Carson King, who represented the "B" team, each had solid a solid round of golf to end in a tie for 11th at 8-over par 79.
Cody McKinney ended his day at 10-over par 81 to earn a top-15 finish. Ryan McKinney, who was on the "B" team and Lake Deppe each tied for 17th at 13-over par 84. Paul Weiskopf, representing the "B" team and Cole Deppe, hit a 20-over and a 22-over par, respectively.
Mike Maloney, also on the "B" team, shot a 19-over par 90 for 33rd place, while Ethan Russell ended his day at 35-over par 106.
