Men's Golf Finishes In Sixth At The Country Club Classic
DECATUR, Ill.—After a rainout yesterday, the Fontbonne University men’s golf team closed out the Country Club Classic today in sixth place with a 49-over par 617 (315-302).
DECATUR, Ill.—After a rainout yesterday, the Fontbonne University men's golf team closed out the Country Club Classic today in sixth place with a 49-over par 617 (315-302).
Illinois Wesleyan "B" team scored an 8-over par 576 (292-284) for the win, while Wisconsin-Eau Claire ended in second at 14-over par 582 (296-286). Webster ended up in third hitting a 16-over par 584 (296-288).
Individually, Jackson Buchanan (Illinois) playing as an individual, scored an 8-under par 134 for the victory (70-64). After second and third place were occupied by Illinois, Will Hocker (Webster) tied for fourth hitting a 1-under par 141 (71-70).
Lake Deppe led Fontbonne improving his round one score by 10 strokes to finish at 8-over 150 (80-70) for 22nd place. Paul Henderson finished two strokes behind him totaling a 10-over par 152 (78-74) for 26th.
Carson King rounded out his day in 31st with a 12-over par 154 (76-78), while Cody McKinney totaled a 19-over par 161 (81-80) for 38th. Cole Deppe turned in his scorecard with a 27-over par 169 (82-87).
