Men's Golf Ends In Ninth At The ONU Bill Johnson Fall Invite
ST. ANNE, Ill.—The Fontbonne University men’s golf team improved its first-round score by 10-strokes today in the final of the ONU Bill Johnson Fall Invite.
ST. ANNE, Ill.—The Fontbonne University men's golf team improved its first-round score by 10-strokes today in the final of the ONU Bill Johnson Fall Invite.
Illinois Wesleyan took home the win shooting a 10-over par 586 (294-292). Parkland College ended in second at 15-over par 591 (296-295). Fontbonne ended the weekend in ninth at 66-over par 642 (326-316).
Zarak Curley (Parkland) and Bobby Beaubien (Illinois Wesleyan) tied for first at even-par 144. Cody McKinney led the Griffins shooting a 10-over par 154 (79-75) for 26th place. Alex Kueker moved up seven spots ending in 37th place after totaling a 15-over par 159 (81-78).
Lake Deppe had a solid second round scoring a 5-over par 77 ending in 49th overall at 21-over par 165 (88-77). JP Ruble, playing as an individual, scored a 21-over par 165 (81-84) for 49th place, while Cole Deppe followed at 23-over par 167 (77-90). Adam Cash turned in his scorecard at 31-over par 175 (85-90).
