ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Midwest Lacrosse Conference announced the 2018 Preseason Coaches Poll and the Griffins slide in at No. 10.
Aurora, who captured a share of their fifth consecutive MLC title last year and earned a berth to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament with a fifth straight MLC Tournament Championship, sit atop the poll.
Defending Co-Champion, Concordia University-Wisconsin, comes in at No. 2 with 71 points. Beloit (67), MSOE (53) and Benedictine (52), round out the top-five.
The Griffins will be looking to climb up the conference standings and build off its 37 goal performance they put out in 2017. Brian Nguyen returns after leading Fontbonne in goals (11), assists (nine) and points (20). Michael Picciolo also has his eyes set on surpassing the six goal and six assist performance last season.
The team welcomes plenty of newcomers as well that'll look to make an impact on the field and guide the Griffins up the MLC standings.
Fans make sure to stay updated throughout the year for full updates and recaps on the men's lacrosse team.
