ST. LOUIS, Mo.—Fontbonne University Director of Athletics, Maria Buckel, is pleased to announce Brandon Singleton as the next Head Men's Lacrosse Coach.
"I'm excited to have Brandon Singleton rejoining our staff; this time as a head coach," said Buckel. "Since his time at Fontbonne Coach Singleton has gained a lot of valuable experience to bring back to the Griffins. I am excited to see where the program can go under his leadership."
"Once I got the news I was ecstatic," said Singleton. "I started my coaching career here, received my master's from here as well. I couldn't think of a better place to begin my head coaching career at. I'm honored to be back at Fontbonne as a coach and can't wait to get this year going."
Coach Singleton will be no stranger to Fontbonne. He served as a Graduate Assistant Coach for the Griffins from 2012-16 while pursuing his Masters of Arts Degree in Teaching.
Singleton will rejoin the Griffins after being the Assistant Coach at Lindenwood University-St. Charles since 2016. While there, he's assisted with fundraising efforts, oversees academic progress and eligibility, along with assisting with scouting reports and film study.
During that same time span, Singleton has also been the Samurai Lacrosse Head Coach. Prior to his stint with Lindenwood, Singleton was the Assistant Coach at NAIA Missouri Valley College for one year.
He's a 2011 graduate from Tennessee Wesleyan College where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Exercise Science, Sports & Fitness Management. He also picked up a minor in Business.
