St. Louis- Fontbonne University men's soccer increased their record to 4-3-1 after defeating Coe College Friday evening 1-0. It was the first loss for the Coe Kohawks on the season (4-1-1).
Freshman David McCoy (O'Fallon, Mo./St. Dominic) scored his first collegiate goal against the Kohawks during the 60th minute. McCoy received a beautiful far right cross from senior Taylor Pratte (Hazelwood, Mo./Hazelwood Central). McCoy's header in the middle of the box flew into the left bottom corner past the Kohawk goalkeeper.
The Griffins shot seven of 13 attempts on goal, while the Kohawks only managed to get off five shots, and only one on goal.
