Phillips named SLIAC Offensive Player of the Week
St. Louis, Mo. - Fontbonne men's soccer forward Alex Phillips has earned St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, for the week of November 2nd, picking up the honor for the second time in three weeks.
The sophomore scored five goals in Fontbonne's two wins last week. Phillips netted the Griffins first two goals against Principia on Thursday, keeping Fontbonne in the hunt for the SLIAC Tournament. His second hat trick of the season came just one week after his first, against Iowa Wesleyan on Saturday. Both wins enabled the Griffins to return to the SLIAC Tournament for the 16th time.
