Men's soccer announces 2016 schedule
St. Louis, Mo. - The Fontbonne University men's soccer program has released its 2016 schedule, which is highlighted by a Labor Day weekend West Coast trip to California where the Griffins will face Chapman University (September 2nd) and the University of Redlands (September 4th).
Led by head coach Ricky Andrews in his second season at the helm, the Griffins will play three games against teams that qualified for the NCAA Division III National Tournament last year in Redlands, Washington University in St. Louis (October 4th), and Westminster College (October 25th).
Fontbonne University opens its 2016 season at home against Illinois Wesleyan University on the first available day of competition on September 1st. The Griffins' non-conference schedule includes Illinois College, Millikin University, Wabash College, Knox College, Concordia University, WashU, and Harris-Stowe State University.
Fontbonne will open St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) play on September 24th in Louisville, Kentucky against Spalding University. The Griffins will host conference games vs. MacMurray College, Iowa Wesleyan University, Greenville College, Westminster College, and Principia College and travel to Webster University, Eureka College, Blackburn College, and Spalding University.
