How It Happened
In the first half, the Griffins had a chance for goal but Jacob Reis' attempt was saved by Mourad Sami. The Griffins continued to have ball control and spread the field throughout the half, though neither team found twine and it was a 0-0 game at the break.
In the second half, the Panthers urgency picked up early in the frame with a 5-0 shot advantage through the first 12 minutes.
Then, in the 74th minute, the Panthers broke the scoreless tie. Cameron Sellers got the ball inside the box and his initial shot was saved by Eric Volk, however, Sellers got the loose ball and scored the rebound to make it a 1-0 outing.
In the 85th minute, Sellers split the defense with a through ball for Cole Heinbaugh and he beat Volk to the short side. That goal proved to be enough with Principia hanging on for the win.
