Prior to the contest, the team honored its nine seniors Eric Volk, Nick Nelson, Cole Easley, Jason Dierker, Darwin Ivanovich, Matt Hennessy, Matt Eaton, Andres Castro, and Tyler Scales.
In the first half, the Griffins struck early in the 10th minute with Andres Castro finding Drew Moser in the box and he beat Red Devils goalie, Moises Aldana, top shelf to give them a 1-0 lead.
From there, the team continued to dominate play and eventually cashed in on another goal in the 40th minute. Fontbonne was awarded a corner kick and Jared Lyeki's cross found a cutting Anthony LaRocca who buried the attempt for his first collegiate goal.
