Men's Soccer Drops Conference Battle Against Webster

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—Despite its valiant effort against top seeded Webster, the Fontbonne University men's soccer team fell 1-0 against the Gorloks.
Game Breakdown
It was a possession battle throughout the first half between the two teams. Fontbonne had its first scoring chance come in the 28th minute when Zack Lyeki's shot was saved by Matt Coffey.
Fontbonne had another outstanding scoring chance in the 40th minute when Brandon Baumgartner's shot from just outside the box looked like it was going into the back of the net, but Coffey was there for a last second tip away to keep it a 0-0 game.
Then, in the 42nd minute, Colby Kapp found Mark Moore on the near post and his shot trickled past Dominic Haggard giving Webster a 1-0 lead at the break.
In the second half, the Griffins came right out with offensive pressure as Ian Steinkamp ripped a shot from 20 yards out, though it went just high of the cross bar.
Fontbonne finished with six shots in the half, however, the Griffins were unable to score the equalizer as Webster hung on for the 1-0 win.
