Men's Soccer Earns Shutout Win Over Eureka

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University men's soccer team picked up a dominating 4-0 win over Eureka on Wednesday night.
Game Breakdown
The Griffins got on the board quick in the sixth minute when Anthony LaRocca lifted the ball ahead for Trent Calvert and he ripped his shot Bryn Callahan on the near post for the 1-0 lead.
The team extended its lead out to 2-0 in the 24th minute when Joseph Huster found Tanner Harris behind the Red Devils defense and he beat Callahan for his fifth goal on the season.
Prior to the half ending, the Griffins tacked on another goal when a foul by Eureka was committed in the box and Fontbonne was awarded a penalty kick. Brandon Baumgartner stepped up and scored giving them a 3-0 lead at the break.
Fontbonne continued to control the pace of the game in the second half. In the 79th minute, Joseph Huster stole the ball from the Red Devils defense and beat Callahan to the far post for his second on the season. The Griffins kept Eureka off the board the rest of the way securing the shutout win.
