ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University men's soccer team put forth a valiant effort in its regular season finale against Webster, but the Gorloks got two first half goals and held on for the win.
Fontbonne had a 6-1 shot advantage through the first 11:00 minutes, including seeing Joe Noah's shot in the third minute go off the crossbar.
However, in the 27th minute the Gorloks struck first with Mark Moore scoring off an assist from Aamahn Murvin. In the 36th minute, the Gorloks made it a 2-0 game when Murvin got in on the action with a goal of his own.
Despite having a 15-13 shot advantage in the game, the Gorloks fended off the Griffins chances in the second half for the win.
