WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. – The Fontbonne University men's soccer team fell to Webster University this evening, 1-0. The Griffins move to 7-5-2 on the season and 5-1 in conference play.
"It was a tough one today for us for sure," said Head Coach Donnie Alberty. "We didn't play our best, but I think you have to credit Webster for some of that. They obviously came to play, and we didn't respond well."
"We did have some bright spots. Alex Wigge played very well at left back and Dom made some pretty good saves to keep us in the match. Hopefully we get another match with them in the tournament."
Fontbonne had no shots in the first period while had nine in the second period.
Dominic Haggard played 90 minutes on goal. He recorded seven saves with four coming from the first period.
Webster scored the only goal of the day in the beginning of the second period.
