Men's Tennis Finishes In Fifth At The SLIAC Tournament
ST. LOUIS, Mo.— In the opening round of the SLIAC Tournament, the Fontbonne University men’s tennis team took on Westminster in hopes of advancing. However, the Blue Jays won each of the doubles matches en route to the 5-1 win. In match two, the Griffins took on rival Webster in the fifth place match but the Gorloks won by the final score of 5-1.

In doubles play, at the No. 1 spot, it was a battle between the Griffins and Blue Jays. Sebastian Culton and Blake Wisniewski gave everything they had but Adam Fuchs and Pete Hasenmueller fended off the duo for the 8-6 win.
At the No. 2 slot, highlight reel plays were displayed by Stephen Lendy and Khoa Trieu. Joshua Udinyiwe and Phillip Udinyiwe pulled away late, though for the 8-4 win. At No. 3 doubles, the team of Giovanni Strickland and Nick Lakowski came away with the 8-1 win over Noah Coddington and Jacob Lendy.
In singles action, Westminster won at the No. 5 and No. 6 singles to take a 5-0 lead. At the No. 2 slot, Blake Wisniewski won 6-1 due to retirement.

In singles play, Tom Shutzman (No. 3 singles), Charles McGhee (No. 4 singles) and Zach Bliss (No. 5 singles) all won its matches to give Webster the 5-1 victory.
