ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) announced that Zach Rothstein has been named Co-Defensive Player of the Week.
Rothstein, an Evergreen Park, Illinois, native, led the Griffins to a 2-0 week after a four set win over Adrian and a sweep of Olivet for the second time this season.
Defensively, he compiled a team-high 31 digs, including 18 in the victory over the Comets. On the year, he's up to a team-high 107 digs. He's also collecting 3.34 digs per set which ranks him sixth nationally and first in the MCVL.
The Griffins return to action next Friday in a key road outing against No. 12 Mount St. Joseph. First-serve goes up at 6 p.m.
