Men's Volleyball Ties Program Record In Wins Against North Park

How It Happened
In the first set, the Griffins opened with a 10-7 lead on a Jacob Hartmann kill. The Vikings trimmed the deficit to 16-13, though Fontbonne was able to close out it on a 9-3 run as TJ Vorva's kill gave Fontbonne the 25-16 set win.
In the first set, Fontbonne totaled 14 kills and a match-high .333 hitting percentage, while the Vikings were held to eight kills and eight errors for a .000 hitting percentage.
In the second set, consecutive kills from Tony Brooks and Emir Hadzisalihovic gave Fontbonne a 15-12 lead and that forced the Vikings coaching staff to take a timeout.
Out of the break, the Vikings stayed within striking distance at 23-21, but a kill from Vorva and a North Park attack error gave Fontbonne the 25-21 win.
In the third, Fontbonne jumped out to a commanding 17-8 lead on back-to-back kills from Brooks and Braden Woolsey. The team never looked back from there as they went on for the 25-20 set and match win.

- Fontbonne totaled 45 kills and a .266 hitting percentage in the win.
- North Park had its struggles offensively with 23 kills and a .056 hitting percentage. They also committed nine service errors.

- Tony Brooks led with a career-high 11 kills and a .316 hitting percentage.
- Grant Garza tied his career-high with 10 kills and a .261 hitting percentage.
- TJ Vorva set a new season-high with nine kills and a .615 hitting percentage.
- Kyler van Rossum-O'Connell registered his sixth double-double on the year and now is just 18 assists away from 2,000 in his career. He added a match-high 11 digs.
North Park Leaders
- Frank Mauigoa led with eight kills and .267 hitting percentage.
- Setter Moises Zavala added 19 assists and Daniel Porche totaled nine digs.
