Glixman Twins earn Jewish Sports Review All-America Honors for Third Straight Year
St. Louis- Fontbonne University junior softball players Cassi Glixman and Danni Glixman (St. Louis, MO/Parkway North) have been named to the Jewish Sports Review All-America First-Team for the third year in a row. The Glixman sisters are representing NCAA Divisions II, III and the NAIA. Selections were made without National Tournament statistics. The following statistics do not include the Griffins' NCAA Tournament games.
Cassi batted .438 on the season with 43 RBI's and four home runs without striking out in a single conference game. She earned SLIAC First-Team All-Conference as Player of the Year and was also named to the NFCA Second-Team All-Region.
Danni led the Griffins in hitting with a .465 batting average with 35 RBI's, 20 doubles and three home runs in 36 games. She earned SLIAC First-Team All-Conference honors and NFCA Second-Team All-Region honors.
The Glixman sisters led Fontbonne to a 34-7 record, their third SLIAC regular-season championship and SLIAC Tournament championship in as many years. Fontbonne has received a berth to the NCAA Div. III National Softball Tournament the past five years.
