Glixman sisters are 4x Jewish Sports Review All-America First-Team honorees
St. Louis- Fontbonne University junior softball players Cassi Glixman and Danni Glixman (St. Louis, MO/Parkway North) have once again been named to the Jewish Sports Review All-America First-Team. The corner sisters have attained this achievement all four years as Griffins, representing NCAA Divisions II, III and the NAIA.

The Glixman twins have attained a level of achievment never before reported on the pages of the JSR. Cassi Glixman catapulted the Griffins into the NCAA Tournament as she unleashed a .437 b.a. on 59/135, pounded out 9 homers (#1), drove across 54 runs (#1), rapped out 18 doubles (#1), swiped 7/9 bases, attained a .785 slugging percentage (#1), scored 42 runs (#1) and fielded at a .985 clip (249/14/4) while playing in all 41 gmaes. She was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Player of the Year (2nd time), Coaches' (NFCA) All-Midwest Team, 1st team, All-America, D-3, 3rd team, and (CoSIDA) Academic All-America, 1st team.
Danni Glixman outdid her twin sister Cassi in their sisterly battle for highest batting average by posting a .455 (#1) b.a. on 60/132, cracked 4 homers (#2), drove in 37 runs (#2), ripped 17 doubles (#2), sprinted for 10/15 stolen bases, scored 37 runs (#3), unleashed a .750 slugging percentage and defended at a .937 clip (43/76/8) while starting 41/41 games. Danni was All-SLIAC, 1st team and Coaches' (NFCA) All-Midwest Region, 1st team. (She was also named to the Bloomington Regional All-Tournament team.)
The Glixman sisters led Fontbonne to a 30-11 record, their fourth SLIAC regular-season championship and SLIAC Tournament championship in as many years. Fontbonne has received a berth to the NCAA Div. III National Softball Tournament the past six years.
