Fontbonne struggled at the plate as McKee recorded 12 strikeouts, her second highest of the season.
Sophomore Maddy Strickland struck out four Bears in her complete-game loss. She falls to 6-7 in the circle.

WashU got off to a hot start in game two with a triple to right. That batter ended up scoring, followed by two more off of bunts including a throwing error by the Griffins.
Modglin got on base in the sixth when she was hit by a pitch. She advanced to second as Sam Brown grounded out to second, and took third on a wild pitch. Alleigh Kruse recorded the only RBI of the game for Fontbonne on a sacrifice fly to right field.
Diamond Thomas suffered the loss in the circle.
