ST. LOUIS, Mo.—Head softball coach, Casey Cromwell, has announced her seventh signing for the 2019 season as they'll welcome Gracie Morris to the club.
"Gracie is a tough kid who plays a solid middle infield and will help us out in that area in the coming year," said Cromwell. "She was a late pick-up but a great one as she's hardworking and not afraid to get dirty. Gracie has a ton of potential and is eager to get here and learn how we play the game at Fontbonne. We're very excited to get her on campus soon."
Morris, an Alton, Illinois, native, had a solid 2018 season at Alton Marquette where she batted .392, had a .432 on-base percentage and a .623 slugging percentage. She compiled 51 hits and 36 RBI, to go along with her team-high 37 runs scored, 13 doubles and four triples. Morris also belted three homers which was tied for third-best.
