Seven records broken or established at Snow Bird Open

Jacksonville, Ill. - The Fontbonne University track and field teams racked up seven new records at the Snow Bird Open Saturday, hosted by Illinois College.
Freshman Craig Niethe broke his own 60m hurdle record in the preliminaries and then improved his new mark in the finals, finishing in fifth place. The St. Louis, Mo. native finished the event in 9.03 seconds, shattering his first collegiate mark by 0.64 seconds.
Freshman Quinn Wilson has updated the men's high jump school and freshman records from 1.68m to 1.75m as he finished in fifth place while Chris Graham improved his mark in the weight throw for a new school record of 10.23 meters. Justin Horneker's 800m run placed him 13th of 30 runners. The senior's time was just shy of his personal best.
On the women's side, freshman Jaylah Jones established freshman and school marks in the 60m hurdles while Annie McKenzie and Gabi Cruts ran personal bests in the 3000m and 200m races respectively. Cruts took 16th place of 32 runners as she ran Fontbonne's third-best time in school history.
