Griffins continue to set new marks
Oxford, Ohio - Fontbonne track and field teams continue to add to the record books late in the season as the Griffins just competed at Miami University of Ohio's Redhawk Invitational.
The steady rain couldn't contain the Griffins from breaking three school records.
For the women, Kelly Mundwiller broke her own record in the women's hammer with a throw of 33.18 meters while also setting a new personal record in the discus, throwing 25.49 meters.
On the men's side, Chris Graham shattered the men's discus record from 2010. His throw of 24.55 meters bested the old mark by over four meters. Fontbonne also saw success on the track as freshman Craig Niethe broke the freshman men's 200m record with a time of 24.32 seconds. His time puts him third all-time at Fontbonne. Senior Cristian Sellars' season PR in the 800m of 2:08.43 is his fastest time from two years ago.
Fontbonne will compete next at the SLIAC Invitational, hosted by Greenville College on Saturday, May 7th.
