Moore, Sheldon And Murray Set New Records At Purdue

On the women's side, Sierra Moore set another personal-best and all-time record in the shot put with a final mark of 11.76 m, which was good enough for ninth place. Mackenze Daniel (9.61 m) and Amelia Tregoning (7.30 m) also took part in the event and finished in 18th and 25th overall.
Moore was not the only one to break a record. In the 600-meter dash, Kayla Sheldon posted a new personal-best and broke her own record with a time of 1:53.19. Colleen Gosser finished in 11th at 2:01.80.
In the weight throw, Daniel closed out in 19th at 11.63 m. Moore finished in 25th at 10.22 m, while Tregoning ended up right behind her at 9.05 m.
The quartet of Kayla Sheldon, Colleen Gosser, Emily Bay and Katie Gosser ran their way to a time of 4:51.79 in the 4x400-meter relay, ending in 13th.
The men's team also found success throughout the afternoon. Brian Nguyen had himself a busy day taking part in both the 60-meter and 200-meter dash. In the 60-meter, he ended in 23rd at 7.63, while in the 200, he set a new personal-best time of 25.11.
In the 600-meter dash, Juwan Lee closed out in ninth place at 1:38.16. Jacob Dixon (1:42.28) and Hayden Yates (1:46.08), clocked out at in 13th and 15th place respectively.
In the mile run, the trio of Dixon (5:18.78), Lee (5:33.44) and Yates (5:40.82), all finished in 25th, 27th and 28th place. Nguyen, Yates, Dixon and Lee took part in the 4x400-meter relay as well and crossed the line at 4:07.75.
In the field events, Quinn Wilson finished in 21st in the long jump at 5.20 m, while rounding out in ninth at 11.16 m in the triple jump.
Greih Murray, though continues to make strides in his freshman campaign as he sits atop the record books in the weight throw after hurling a toss of 10.58 m. He participated in the shot put and finished the day in 21st at 9.05 m.
