Bay And Katie Gosser Shine Once Again In The Heptathlon

NAPERVILLE, Ill.—The Fontbonne University track and field team closed out the Gregory Final Qualifier and Multi-Event this evening with more personal-records set.
In the Heptathlon, Katie Gosser finished in 16th place with a new personal-record total of 3105. Emily Bay, meanwhile, also hit a new personal-record of 2754 for 17th.
In the long jump, K. Gosser led with a leap of 4.07 m, while Bay was right behind her at 4.02 m. Bay, though stood out in the javelin with a personal-record toss of 31.95 m for fifth place. K. Gosser missed her PR by a few meters but still came away at 26.57 m for 11th.
In the 800-meter dash, K. Gosser crossed the line at 2:44.40 for 12th place, while Bay hit a personal-record time of 2:58.90.
Bay also competed in the javelin after the Heptathlon and finished in ninth at 29.45 m on her final toss. Sierra Moore and Mackenze Daniel both took part in the shot put with Moore ending up in ninth at 10.71 m, while Daniel closed out in 10th at 10.22 m.
