Zmuda Breaks 60-Meter Hurdles Record, 20 Personal-Records Broken At Principia Multi-Meet

How It Happened
On the women's side, Natalie Zmuda continue to set records as she broke her own in the 60-meter hurdles in the finals with a time of 10.12 for the win.
She also set a personal-record in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.39. Tamya Dixon hit a new PR time of 8.51 for third place, while Emily Bay ended up in seventh at 9.20. Maris Fusiek also earned a new PR of 9.53, while Tara Weiskopf-Kuehn ended at 10.39.
Zmuda added to her resume in 2019 as she tied the program-record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.72 for first place. Dixon notched another PR with a time of 29.50 for seventh, while Jackson timed out at 30.12. Fusiek hit a personal-record at 32.51 and Tara Weiskopf-Kuehn crossed the line at 37.21.
The team of Zmuda, Destiny Jackson, Katie Gosser, and Dixon picked up 10 more points for Fontbonne in the 4x200-meter relay with a time of 2:01.20 for the win. They also competed in the 4x400-meter relay and ended up in second place at 4:38.52.
Success continued in the 3000-meter run with Colleen Gosser ending in fourth place at 12:48.80. Desiree Brooks, meanwhile, added a PR of her won with a time of 13:18.91 for fifth.
In the mile, Brooks just missed her PR as she ended in eighth place with a time 6:16.49, while C. Gosser did surpass her previous-best with a new PR of 6:16.56 and that moves her up to 10th all-time.
In the field events, Mackenze Daniel saved her best throw for last at 13.19 m for fourth place. Bay crushed her previous PR of 10.56 m with a new mark of 11.34 m for fifth all-time. Caitlyn Ulery joined with a new PR of 9.01 m.
Sierra Moore led the group in the shot put with a third-place performance after a throw of 11.33 m. Daniel finished with a new PR of 10.55 m, while Bay had a personal-record throw of 9.70 m. Ulery, meanwhile, closed out at 8.12 m.
In the long jump, Bay and K. Gosser finished at 3.96 m and 3.92 m, respectively. Bay cleared a personal-best of 1.35 m in the high jump, while Fusiek ended at 1.30 m. K. Gosser went on to tie her personal-record of 1.30 m.
On the men's side, Anh Nguyen participated in the high jump for the first time this year and ended up in fifth at 1.33 m.
He also competed in the long jump with a leap of 3.68 m. Hayden Thompson also took part in the event and landed at 3.95 m. Thompson did hit a personal-record mark of 8.95 m in the shot put and in the weight throw of 9.27 m.
In the track events, Nguyen ran his way to a time of 9.47 in the 60-meter dash. He did hit a personal-record time of 32.30 in the 200-meter dash.
Juwan Lee continued the personal-record marks for Fontbonne with one of his one in the 400-meter dash at 1:01.18. He also ran in the 800-meter race and finished at 3:13.92.
Austin Joyce took part today in the mile run and rounded out in ninth place at 5:22.94, but did earn a new personal-record time of 10:50.16 in the 3000-meter run.
