How It Happened
On the men's side, Hayden Thompson was the lone competitor for Fontbonne in the hammer and he continues to make progress in 2019 after setting another personal-record throw of 24.24 m.
On the women's side in the hammer, Raven Venegas finished in fifth place with a mark of 44.29 m. Jillian Venegas ended up just short of her personal-record with a throw of 37.45 m, while Emily Bay closed out at 23.17 m.
Four events are down in the women's heptathlon and Katie Gosser currently totaled 1732 points. In the 100-meter hurdles, K. Gosser finished with a time of 20.19. In the 200-meter dash, she timed out at 28.92.
In the field events, she tied her personal-record with a clearance of 1.37 m. In the shot put, K. Gosser had a throw of 8.07 m.
