Jillian Venegas And Zmuda Set School Records At SIUE
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill.—At the SIUE Gateway Classic on Friday, the duo of Jillian Venegas and Natalie Zmuda broke its own school-records in their respective events.

How It Happened:
On the women's side, Jillian Venegas broke her own school-record in the discus with a mark of 38.80 m. Raven Venegas also set a personal-record at 37.74 m.
Another school-record in the 100-meter hurdles was broken with Natalie Zmuda setting a new time of 16.77.
Raven Venegas earned an eighth-place finish in the hammer with a throw of 41.80 m. In the shot put, Raven Venegas led with a fourth-place finish at 12.70 m. Jillian Venegas followed at 10.68 m.
In the javelin, Emily Bay led in sixth-place at 28.54 m, while Katie Gosser was right behind her at 28.16 m. In the high jump, Bay cleared 1.35 m.
In the track events, Katie Gosser crushed her 400-meter time by 5.0 seconds to finish in fourth-place at 1:04.61. Zmuda tied her personal-record in the 100-meter dash at 13.17, while Tamya Dixon set a new PR of her own at 13.38.
The duo also set a personal-record in the 200-meter dash with Zmuda concluding at 27.04 and Dixon at 28.07 for fourth and fifth place, respectively.
Austin Joyce was the lone men's competitor today and he finished in third at 10:52.47 in the 3000-meter run.
