Eureka, Ill. - Fontbonne University women's basketball suffered their first St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game tonight at Eureka College. Eureka led for the final 26 minutes, forcing a Griffin 55-76 loss. Fontbonne is now 3-2 overall and 1-1 in SLIAC play.
Senior Kristin Dempsey recorded nine rebounds and a career-high five blocks against the Red Devils with Erika Kuhn adding eight more rebounds. Both players came off the bench. Emmie Haring connected on three treys as she scored a Griffin-high 11 points. The team was flat tonight, shooting just 28.6% in the field and just 38.5% from the charity stripe.
Fontbonne will get right back on the court, this time hosting Millikin University at home tomorrow, Saturday, December 6th at 2pm.
