Haring named SLIAC Player of the Week
Senior point guard Emmie Haring has been named St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week after recording a double-double in each game last week.
St. Louis, Mo. - Senior women's basketball player Emmie Haring has been named as this week's St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
Over the course of last week, the Griffins went 2-0 on the road against MacMurray College and Blackburn College. Haring recorded double-doubles in both games in which she averaged 19.0 points per game, 10.5 assists per game and 5.5 steals per game.
Haring tallied 23 points, 10 assists and 7 steals against Blackburn and 15 points, 11 assists and 4 steals at MacMurray. Haring recorded four three-pointers against Blackburn as she went 5-of-12 on the week and sank all 9 free throw attempts.
Haring, the Griffins' point guard, leads all of NCAA Division III with 159 assists on the season, a new Fontbonne record set against MacMurray.
The Griffins are at home on Wednesday and Saturday of this week with pivotal games at 6 p.m. and 1 p.m. respectively.
