ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC), announced today Fontbonne University women’s basketball player, Paige Black, has been named the SLIAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC), announced today Fontbonne University women's basketball player, Paige Black, has been named the SLIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
Black, a St. Louis, Missouri, native, is coming off a dominant week on the court where she led the Griffins to a 2-0 record after averaging 21.5 points per game and shooting 47.0 percent from the floor. Against Spalding, the junior guard netted a career-high 23 points.
On the season, Black's been a focal point in the teams' success thus far with her 13.9 points, 35.1 field goal and 32.9 3-point percentage.
The Griffins return to action this Saturday against rival Webster. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p. m.
